This week, TripAdvisor announced the results of its Travelers' Choice awards for museums, and New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art was named number one in the world for the second year in a row.

Using an algorithm that took the quantity and quality of reviews over a one-year period into account, the travel site determined the top 25 museums in the United States and internationally. Below, the top 10 art institutions worldwide:
