Palm Beach has long been a colorful playground for America's well-to-do with Lilly Pulitzer's dizzying prints, Gilded Age mansions, and more recently, what seems like the exodus of most of the Northeast's creative and jet set crew to this pocket of the Sunshine State. Zoë de Givenchy, the niece of Hubert de Givenchy and founder of the Z.d.G., a curated selection of artisan-made and European-inspired tableware, counts Palm Beach as one of her favorite get-away destinations, and, especially so, as it is currently the pop-up location of Christie's curated highlights of the legendary couturier's auction coming to Paris later this year on June 8.

Givenchy, who has a home in Los Angeles with her husband, Olivier de Givenchy, will pass through the sunny locale a few times a year to visit friends and shop, usually on the way to Harbour Island, where the couple has another residence. "Palm Beach always feels so joyfully Americana to me! Those sweeping estates on the Atlantic, the Kennedy mystique, the glorious gardens, and fragrant tropical air is so alluring," says Givenchy. "Add to this a good dose of old-school prep and charm, and it’s a marvelous change of pace from almost anywhere."

While Palm Beach has always had a relaxed vibe, it's invigorating to Givenchy how the town has recently turned a new leaf on what new shops and restaurants it has to offer to its residents and visitors. Iconic landmarks, like The Breakers, The Colony Hotel, which opened in 1947 as the "pinkest boutique hotel in Palm Beach" and recently experienced a refresh thanks to Kemble Interiors, and the luxury shopping on Worth Avenue will always be favorite destinations, but new arrivals have imbued Palm Beach with something fresh. "Its recent younger, fashionable evolution has brought with it an injection of new energy and some fun restaurant and shopping additions - such as my favorite pop-up, The Webster, and New York outposts of restaurants like Le Bilboquet," says Givenchy. Here, Givenchy shares where she's shopping, visiting, and eating this spring in one of South Florida's crown jewels.
