Meghan Markle was spotted in California yesterday on a hike, just a day after King Charles's coronation. Prince Harry—who returned to California Saturday evening—stayed home with their children, Prince Archie, who just turned 4, and Princess Lilibet.

For the Duchess of Sussex's first appearance since the coronation, she kept it casual and comfortable in navy leggings, a navy t-shirt, and her go-to J. Crew lightweight jacket (which is unfortunately sold out). She accessorized with with a wide-brimmed Panama hat, Victoria Beckham sunglasses, and a pink bandana tied around her neck. Meghan also appeared to be wearing Princess Diana's Cartier French Tank watch.

Meghan was also spotted wearing "The Clarity Retreat Necklace," a collaboration between her friend Abigail Spencer and jeweler Maya Brenner. Per the brand, "The Clarity Retreat Necklace is just the thing to help you see your way through any challenges. Made with a hand-cut clear quartz, this crystal is regarded as the most powerful energy amplifier on the planet! It’s meant to help you manifest what you want in life and let go of anything that's not working. A subtle wearable crystal piece to protect your peace…so every day can be your retreat." Seems fitting for what Meghan is currently going through—she is all about "protecting her peace."

The necklace also comes in Happiness Retreat (citrine), Love Retreat (rose quartz), and Healing Retreat (amethyst).

Meghan was joined by two of her longtime friends, Markus Anderson and Heather Dorak. Anderson wore a bright yellow Camp Tamakwa sweatshirt and Nike shorts, whereas Doark was spotted in Free City sweatpants and a peach t-shirt.

In 2021, following Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah, Dorak took to Instagram to defend her friends. She wrote on Instagram, "It’s hard for me to watch her go through all that she has to as the Meghan the press can love to hate…. Mostly because it’s so far from the Meghan that I know. Sweet. Kind. Always showing up! Two weeks ago, she was the first to surprise me with a gift after my knee surgery."

Dorak added, "17 years ago, she walked into my fledgling Pilates studio and instantly became my rock in all things early 20’s - career, love, figuring out how to adult. Since that day, she has never stopped being one of my brightest sources of light. It may be hard to see, but she lives for the little, thougthful things – flowers for no reason, a random sweet, handwritten note. She’s always been truly wonderful ... M, I love you."
